Have a Counter

So, you’ve mastered a move, but what happens when a defender shuts it down? Every successful player has a counter move, or several, to keep the defender guessing. You have to be the one in control.

Counters don’t have to be anything fancy, as long as you’re changing pace and/or changing direction to force the defender out of position.

This can be said for both ball handlers and post players. The idea is to be unpredictable, so that other teams can’t scout your go-to move because it changes with every situation. Be versatile.
